The
International Workshop on Quantum Manipulation in Low-Dimensional
Semiconductors, organized by State Key Laboratory for Superlattices
and Microstructures, Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese
Academy of Sciences, aims at promoting scientific exchanges
in the areas of Quantum Manipulation in Low-Dimensional Semiconductors,
including theoretical simulation, related material preparations
and characterization, technical processing, and device development.
The workshop emphasizes novel work on growth and characterizations
of semiconductor quantum structures, and its device application;
physics and application of dilute magnetic semiconductor nanostructures;
device fabrication and application; theoretical development
in the corresponding subjects. The invited talks scheduled
for presentation on workshop will address areas of major interest
highlighting comprehensive and favored research areas for
the scientists in America, Canada, China, Korea, Germany and
UK. The workshop will provide a forum for discussion on recent
progress and latest achievements, and promote an exchange
of scientific information and a mutual collaboration.
The meeting program consists of a
3-day meeting with more focused discussion from the experts
of six countries.
